It was finally time for her to have her lunch break. She couldn't believe that almost a month of classes had gone by and that they had a test coming up for one of her design classes.
She headed straight for the line, wondering what they had on offer. Izzy usually took her own lunch, but as she had her first class at eight A.M she didn't leave herself enough time to make her own food. Whatever it was smelled good as she approached the counter, picking up her plate. She put some mixed green salad on her plate, getting herself a hamburger bun and putting a beef burger on top. Izzy glanced around and put toppings on, not realizing someone was standing right beside her.
The teen closed her burger and glanced over to the other student, giving the red head a smile. "Trying to find something that looks good to eat too? They haven't had burgers in ages!" It also wasn't something she ate at home either, so she jumped at the chance. "Your Maelle right? I think I've seen you around before." There weren't too many people on campus with red hair, so it was hard to miss.
Lunch was finally here! Mal b-lined it to the burger section, as it had been a minute since they had them last. Or at least, build your bar to the full extent it could be. As she was eyeballing the options, she heard someone talking to her. Mal turned and saw a mousy-looking girl, with bored eyes. “Ah yeah, had to get here before the other vultures came,” she laughed. “Burger day with all the toppings is the best day!” Well, the ice cream sundae was also great.
“Yeah, that’s me! I unfortunately don’t know who you are though,” she said apologetically as she grabbed a veggie burger and a beef burger. One was for later, and no one could tell her no otherwise.
